The Bibb County School District recently welcomed more than 200 new teachers for the 2016-2017 school year. The new teacher orientation was held at Howard High School July 19th-21st. Not only did the new employees receive information and resources to make their first year in Bibb County a successful one, but community partners were also on-hand to help setup potential investments, open checking and savings accounts, and offer additional professional development services that could serve as beneficial in the near future.
The School District welcomed approximately 3,500 employees at their annual Convocation that was held at the Macon Coliseum on July 25th. Superintendent Dr. Curtis L. Jones, Jr. shared his thoughts and expectations for the upcoming year, and provided focus for work to improve the achievement level of all students.
MidSouth Community had the honor or serving as a Platinum Sponsor for both events.
